Following is some general information regarding the practice and how we operate:

a. Selling Time

Our “product” is time. As such, fees are incurred for time spent on your engagement which may include meetings, telephone calls, correspondence and work on your file. Having said that, we view ourselves and want to be viewed by your business as a resource to help you meet your goals. As such, we do not record time nor forward an invoice for the occasional short telephone call or email. We will however, record time and invoice you where these calls are lengthy or, in particular, result in additional action or research.

b. Rates

  Our rates are set at a competitive $140 per hour excluding GST which are reviewed in June each year.

c. Quotes and Estimates

Where requested, we may provide an estimate of fees to complete a particular task. However, given the variable and complex nature of accounting and taxation matters, we do reserve the right to invoice in accordance with the actual time spent on an engagement. However, we will advise you as soon it becomes apparent that additional costs may be incurred.

d. Frequency of invoices

We will generally forward an invoice once a task is complete. However we may render progress invoices for matters that span long periods or alternatively hold off invoicing you until a number of smaller matters are complete and invoice these at once.

e. Payment Terms

As we may have potentially commenced work on your file weeks or months earlier than you receive an invoice, our payment terms are 14 days of receiving the invoice. Invoices may be paid via direct credit, cheque or credit card.  You will generally receive an invoice via email and a link to pay via credit will be included. 

f. Subscriptions or recurring invoices

For clients who have a recurring invoice such as a monthly accounting software charge or  a set monthly fee, we will give you the option of setting up a subscription and can manage that externally through our payment gateway (Stripe).  You can change the details of this subscription service yourself, or cancel the subscription at any time, but this will not automatically cease the service and you will still receive a manual  invoice to pay until the actual underlying service (such as the accounting subscription) has been closed or removed.

g. Privacy

We value your privacy greatly and will not provide any information regarding your business, your personal details, your financial position or your tax information with any third party without your express consent. That means, for example, if a finance company , a bank or a real estate calls or emails requesting confirmation of your income or financial position, we will contact you first to obtain your consent prior to releasing this information.


For tax returns; we use Xero tax which is stored securely in the cloud.  Your tax return will be sent to you via a free link to log in to Xero tax where you can sign the return electronically.  You can request alternative methods of delivery such as mail or pdf via email.
